Man Sitting In Roadway Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Elizabeth: Police

A man sitting in the roadway was fatally struck by a vehicle in Elizabeth on Tuesday, Oct. 24 police said.

In the middle of the night, police initially received a call about a man sitting in the roadway on Newark Avenue and then later received a call about the same person being struck, Ruby Contreras of the Elizabeth Police Department said.

The man was pronounced dead at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Contreras said.
